The total area of parkland in Quinte West is approximately 389 acres, encompassing 52 community and neighbourhood parks and 60 flower beds, among other community recreational parkland areas. Click here to view a map.
Centennial Park - Map It
Located in the "hub" of Trenton, Centennial Park is home to the Duncan McDonald Community Arena, amphitheatre, public marina, splash pad, skate park, and play equipment. There is also a paved waterfront trail that runs through the park and links to downtown Trenton. From fireworks to ice fishing, there are special events and seasonal activities that take place in the park throughout the year.
Hanna Park - Map It
This 42-acre park, located in the Trenton Ward, features marked nature trails, beautiful scenery, tennis courts, and a children's play area. Hanna Park is home to the recently opened Kinsmen Community Dog Park, a fully enclosed, off-leash dog park.
Frankford Tourist Park - Map It
Situated on a stretch of parkland along the Trent River in down Frankford, the Tourist Park is the centre for regional outdoor activities and special events. The park has a sandy beach area and playground, covered picnic pavilion, and seasonal overnight camping facilities. Call 613-392-2841 x 4414 Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Hollinger Park - Map It
With over 25 acres of hardwood and pine trees, this beautiful public park, located in the Sidney Ward, features a mixture of trees on several marked trails. It also offers a sheltered picnic area adjacent to an open meadow with benches perfect for large group outdoor activities.
Batawa Lions Natural Playground - Map It
This vibrant park is a community initiative between the Batawa Development Corporation, the Batawa Lions Club and the City of Quinte West. The goal of the design is to create and promote both active and passive play while maintaining a space that will be durable for the years to come. This play space is becoming the connection point of the communty and a great place for kids to stretch their legs and get active.
Note: There is Provincial Legislation that prohibits smoking within 20.0 metres surrounding playground equipment and playing fields within playground parks owned and operated by the City of Quinte West.
Memorial & Sponsorship Park Program
There is always a need for benches, picnic tables, trees, light standards, and garbage containers throughout the Quinte West parks and trails. Adopt-A-Park/Adopt-A-Road Program
Quinte West Parks Rules and Regulations
To help ensure the safety and pleasure of all park users, the City of Quinte West requests that you abide by the following rules and regulations:
- All posted signs must be obeyed
- Motorized vehicles are prohibited except for designated areas
- Possession or use of alcohol is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the City
- Vandalism to City property will not be tolerated
- Animals or pets must be controlled
- A poop-and-scoop policy is enforced
- Hitting of golf balls is prohibited
- No littering or dumping of garbage
Failure to obey these regulations can result in a maximum fine of $5000.
