Monday, October 22, 2018 is the date that City of Quinte West Residents go the the polls to elect their Mayor, City Councillors and School Board Trustees.  By voting, you are not only exercising your democratic right, but you are also ensuring your support for those candidates who share your vision for your community and neighbourhood.

The City of Quinte West is also offering Internet Voting as well as Advance Voting in an effort to make the election more accessible and convenient to the voters.

By voting for a candidate for Mayor and Councillor, you are helping to set the future direction of the City of Quinte West.  The City provides the day-to-day services you count on.  City Council decides how your property tax dollars are spent and establishes the level and range of municipal services available to our community.  Voting for your School Board Trustee is also important.  Trustees decide how best to meet the needs of Quinte West's students by administering the building and maintenance of schools, hiring the teachers and staff needed to run them, and authorizing spending on eductional programs and initiatives.  That's why it's important to vote!

Visit our voter information page to find out how you can exercise your right to vote and participate in the 2018 Municipal Election.

As a candidate for your City Council or local School Board, you will have an opportunity to draw citizens' attention to certain issues, and to introduce them to your ideas and vision for our City.  You will learn more about your community and more about yourself.  By putting your name forward as a candidate, you can make a difference!

Check out our candidate information page, where you can learn more about running in the 2018 Municipal Election.
