COVID-19 Response Page

This page is designed to provide updates from the City of Quinte West to its residents. The City will update this page with information that pertains to operations and procedures impacted within Quinte West by Covid-19, as well as provide links to important information regarding the health unit and community partners. For all public health information, we recommend visiting the Hastings Prince Edward Public Health website.

We also have a page with COVID-19 Community Resources for our residents and a COVID-19 Resources for Business page for the business community.

Our doors reopen to the Public on July 6th.  There will be new safety measures in placed for the protection of staff and visitors. All visitors to City Hall are required to wear a non-surgical mask. A greeter will ensure that a limited number of people will be admitted into the building at a time to maintain safe physical distances.

We urge people to continue doing business online or over the phone (as listed below) whenever possible. Many services will only be available on an appointment basis. If you are unsure whether a service will be available, please call ahead (number listed below). If you are feeling ill, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please stay home.

Tips from the City

  • Working From Home? Remember to UNPLUG!

The Quinte West Fire Department is reminding residents who use laptops or other electronic devices to UNPLUG them when not in use. Also, ensure that you set your laptop down on a well-ventilated surface to avoid overheating. Leaving a laptop plugged in on a bed or couch is a common cause of home fires. This goes for cellphones and tablets as well.
