Residents can expect that Trenton Frankford Rd. will be repaired and reopened to traffic by the end of July. Quinte West staff have been meeting with consultants, contractors, representatives from Sonoco, Union Gas/Enbridge, Parks Canada and Lower Trent Conservation Authority to ensure the project will be completed as quickly as possible.

QUINTE WEST, June 15, 2019, 2:15 p.m. - Water from the Trent River is no longer flowing across Trenton Frankford Rd. The private dam operator is continuing to work towards resolving the issue that caused this situation.
Trenton Frankford Rd. remains closed in Glen Miller. The closure of the road starts at Plant St. in Batawa and continues South to the bridge at Johnstown Rd. The bridge at Johnstown Rd. remains open, residents are being advised to avoid the area if possible.

QUINTE WEST, June 15, 2019 - County Road 33 (Trenton Frankford Rd.) is closed in Glen Miller due to flooding. The closure of the road starts at Plant St. in Batawa and continues South to the bridge at Johnstown Rd. The bridge at Johnstown Rd. remains open, residents are being advised to avoid the area if at all possible.
The flooding is due to the malfunction of a privately operated dam as a result of a power outage. It is possible this closure could last for several days...

NOXIOUS WEED SPRAYING
The City will be spraying rural roadsides to control the noxious weed, Wild Parsnip, commencing June 17 and ending July 19 (weather permitting). Wild Parsnip is an invasive plant that produces sap containing chemicals that can cause human skin to react to sunlight. The reaction results in intense burns, rashes or blisters.
