The City of Quinte West is saddened to hear of the passing of a young resident Thursday, May 6, 2021, in Trenton. The 14-year-old was struck by a vehicle near King Street and Dufferin Avenue and was later pronounced dead after paramedics transported him to a local hospital.

Trent Port Marina has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag Canada certification once again this year by Blue Flag International, administered in Canada by Swim Drink Fish. This internationally recognized award is granted to specific beaches and marinas that meet the highest environmental, safety, cleanliness, accessibility and sustainability standards.
