The Lower Trent Conservation Authority has issued a Flood Warning for the Lake Ontario and Bay of Quinte shorelines. Water levels on Lake Ontario are expected to rapidly increase this week and onwards in response to significant precipitation throughout the Lake Ontario basin, high inflows from Lake Erie, and spring freshet flows from local watercourses.

Construction Activities around Fraser Park
The Parking lot next to Fraser Park will be closed starting Monday, May 6, through until the end of June. This closure is necessary as crews will be working to replace a wastewater pipe as a part of a major ongoing infrastructure project for the City of Quinte West. Throughout the spring, construction work will be taking place in the Fraser Park parking lot and on Fraser Park Drive.

The Front Street Farmers’ Market will be opening again for the season this Saturday, May 4 at 8 a.m. There are close to twenty confirmed vendors for opening day and there will be many more in attendance throughout the season.
